How can I personalize a coffee mug?

Choose a mug and complete the personalization fields on its product page. Depending on the design, you may be able to upload photos, enter names or messages, select colors, choose fonts or customize illustrated characters.

Can I preview my custom mug before ordering?

Yes. Giftshire’s live preview shows the crop, layout and placement of your personalization as you create the mug. Review the image, spelling, dates and text carefully before adding it to your cart. Giftshire’s quality-control team also reviews personalized designs before production, and a digital proof can be requested when needed.

What sizes are available for personalized ceramic mugs?

Applicable ceramic mug designs are available in 11 oz and 15 oz sizes. The available sizes are listed on each product page.

How many photos can I add to a personalized mug?

The number depends on the template. Some mugs use one or two images, while collage designs may accept several photographs.

What kind of photo works best on a custom mug?

Use a clear, high-resolution photograph with good lighting and a sharply focused subject. Avoid small screenshots, blurry images and important details placed close to the image edge.  Scan printed photographs at 300 dpi or higher. Preview the crop to make sure faces and other key elements remain visible.

Can I use any photograph, artwork or logo?

Only upload content that you own or have permission to reproduce. This includes professional photographs, illustrations, logos and other protected material. Giftshire may decline copyrighted or inappropriate content.

Can I add a name and a photo to the same mug?

Many designs support both a photograph and personalized text. Depending on the template, the name or message may appear beside the image, above or below it, on the opposite side or within a wrap-around layout.

What is a wrap-around photo mug?

A wrap-around mug extends the design across a larger area of the mug instead of limiting it to one small panel. It can be used for panoramic photographs, repeated images, longer artwork or collage-style layouts.

How does a personalized color-changing mug work?

A color-changing mug, sometimes called a magic mug, has a heat-sensitive coating that changes appearance when a hot drink is added, revealing the printed image or message. As the mug cools, the darker exterior returns.

Are personalized mugs dishwasher and microwave safe?

Care instructions depend on the mug and its finish. Standard ceramic and heat-sensitive magic mugs may have different requirements. Check the individual product page and the care instructions supplied with the order before using a dishwasher or microwave.

How should I care for the printed design?

Follow the instructions provided for the selected mug. Avoid abrasive pads and harsh cleaners that could affect the printed surface. If the mug has a heat-sensitive coating, use the care method recommended specifically for that product.

Is personalization free?

Yes. Giftshire offers free personalization. The product price may still change according to the selected mug size, quantity or other available options.

When will my personalized mug arrive?

The estimated delivery date is shown on the product page and again at checkout. Review it before ordering for a birthday, wedding, graduation or holiday, and allow additional time when possible for an occasion with a fixed date. Giftshire currently ships within the contiguous United States and does not offer delivery to Hawaii, Alaska, Canada or international destinations.

What should I do if my mug arrives damaged or incorrect?

Contact Giftshire customer service with your order number and clear photographs of the mug and packaging. Available resolutions follow the current return, refund and replacement policies.

Can I order personalized mugs in bulk?

Giftshire accepts bulk orders of 20 or more items. Eligible orders may receive special pricing, dedicated support and priority processing. Contact Giftshire for a quote and to confirm that the selected mug design, quantity and required delivery date qualify.

Can I send a personalized mug directly to the recipient?

Yes. Each item is packaged separately, and packing slips for gift orders do not show prices. Giftshire does not currently offer a printed gift-message service, so include a short message within the mug’s personalization when the selected design allows it.
